Applying for a Land Surveyor In Training Certificate

General Instructions:

  1. * Answer all questions completely and honestly.

  2. * Enter your name as you wish it to appear on your certificate.

  3. * Items with a star (*) are required.

  4. * An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provide for verification.

  5. * You will have a chance to review your data prior to submitting the application.

  6. * Use the Next and Prev buttons at the bottom of each page to navigate.

Determining Eligibility:

  1. * You must first take and pass the Fundamentals of Land Surveying Examination administered by NCEES.

  2. * Option 1 – Graduation from a board approved program of four (4) years or more in land surveying from a college or university or Senior standing (105 semester hours completed).

  3. * Option 2 – Graduation from a program of four (4) years or more other than land surveying from a college or university of recognized standing plus completion the 24 semester credit hour surveying core curriculum; or Senior standing (105 semester hours completed) plus at least 12 semester hours of the surveying core curriculum; or enrolled in such a program and completion of the entire 24 semester hours of the surveying core curriculum.

  4. * Option 3 – Graduation from a civil, mining, or agricultural engineering program of four (4) years or more accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology(EAC/ABET) or Senior standing (105 semester hours completed) plus completion of the 12 semester credit hours of the surveying core curriculum.


Transcripts:

  • Have official transcripts of any education completed in the United States sent to KY State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors, 160 Democrat Drive, Frankfort KY 40601.
