Applying for an Engineer In Training Certificate

General Instructions:

  1. * Answer all questions completely and honestly.

  2. * Enter your name as you wish it to appear on your certificate.

  3. * Items with a star (*) are required.

  4. * An e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provide for verification.

  5. * You will have a chance to review your data prior to submitting the application.

  6. * Use the Next and Prev buttons at the bottom of each page to navigate.

Determining Eligibility:

  1. * You must first take and pass the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination administered by NCEES.

  2. * Graduate of an engineering program of four or more years accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (EAC/ABET).

  3. * Graduate of a program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.

  4. * Any other international degrees must be evaluated by NCEES Credentials Evaluation Services.

  5. * Senior standing (105 semester hours completed) in an EAC/ABET accredited program.


We do not accept engineering technology degrees.

Academic Transcripts:

Have official graduation transcripts of your college or university education sent to the board. The transcripts must be sent to the board directly from the educational institution. Please arrange to have your school(s) send the official graduation transcripts by mail, or email to:
